Missed Orders Check
Your n8n order workflow only runs when Shopify's webhook arrives. When n8n restarts, an execution times out or Shopify drops a failing webhook, the order is never processed, and nothing tells you. This free workflow checks every morning that no order slipped through.
Catches lost orders
Insurance, not savings: on a normal day it does nothing; when a Shopify webhook fails, it finds the orders before your buyer does.
Rather have it set up for you?
$199 per workflow: I install and test it on your store, and the template, Pro version included, comes free with the setup.
Why webhooks fail silently, and the check that catches it (2:35)
Do it yourself
Works next to any n8n order workflow that logs orders to Google Sheets. About 10 minutes to set up.
Wholesale Order Alert Pro
Email and Slack alert for every wholesale order, Google Sheets log, and this check built into the 8:00 summary.
Set it up for me
I install and test it on your n8n with your wording and terms; the Pro template is included.
What it does
- Reads every Shopify order from yesterday (or the last few days), all pages, optionally only orders with a tag
- Matches them against your Google Sheets order log: #1001, 1001 or the order ID all count
- Emails you the missed orders with created time, total, payment and fulfillment status and a link to Shopify admin
- Adds them to your log marked
backfilled, so each one is reported only once and you can tell them from rows your workflow wrote - Waits and retries when Shopify's rate limit is low, so a busy store never gets a cut-short list
- Skips test orders, the way most order workflows do
- Today's orders wait for tomorrow's run, so a slow webhook isn't reported
- An alert email if the check itself fails
Version 1.1 added the rate-limit retry, test-order skip and backfilled marking, from a discussion on the n8n forum.
What it saves you
- Finding out about a lost order from your customer
- Comparing Shopify and your sheet line by line
Needs n8n (self-hosted or Cloud), any Shopify plan, Google Sheets and an SMTP mailbox. Only the read_orders scope. One execution per day.
