Trenoxa Monitor privacy policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Trenoxa Monitor ("the App") is a Shopify app made by TrenoxaHQ ("we", "us"). It checks that a store's shoppers can browse, add to cart and reach checkout, and alerts the merchant when they can't. This policy explains what information the App collects when a merchant installs it, how we use it, and how it is deleted.
Information we collect
From your Shopify store, through Shopify's API
- Store details: your shop's domain, name and contact email. The email is used as the default address for alerts. You can change it.
- Products: product titles, handles and stock status, read so the App can pick an in-stock product for its add-to-cart test. We store only the URL of the product you choose.
- Orders: for each new order, only its order ID and the time it was placed. We use this to notice when orders stop at a time they normally wouldn't. We do not collect or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, payment details or what was ordered.
Information you enter in the App
- Your storefront URL and test product.
- An optional storefront password, for password-protected stores. It is stored encrypted.
- An optional Storefront API public access token, for headless stores.
- An alert email address and an optional Slack webhook URL.
Information the App creates
- Results of each check: which steps passed or failed, how long they took, error messages shown by your store, and the names of analytics tools the App detected and blocked.
- A screenshot of your storefront page when a check fails.
How we use it
Only to run the App for you: to perform the checks, to show their results in your Shopify admin, and to send you alerts. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below, as needed to run the App.
What the App never does
- It never places an order and never enters payment details.
- It never adds code to your theme or storefront.
- Its test visits are blocked from reaching Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, Meta and Klaviyo, so they don't affect your store's numbers.
Service providers
- Contabo: hosts the servers and database that run the App.
- Our email delivery provider: sends alert emails to the address you set.
- Slack: receives alerts only if you add a Slack webhook.
How long we keep it
- Order IDs and times: 35 days.
- Screenshots of failing pages: 30 days.
- Everything else: while the App is installed.
Deletion
- When you uninstall, all checks stop immediately. 48 hours later, Shopify sends us a deletion request, and we delete all information about your store.
- Customer data requests: we store no customer details. When Shopify sends a customer redaction request, we delete the order IDs of that customer's orders.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing us.
Security
Connections to the App use HTTPS. Storefront passwords are encrypted in our database. Only TrenoxaHQ staff who run the App can access the servers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information, or to object to how it is used. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will tell merchants in the App.
